Miniature Double Wedding Ring
During November 2002 a Miniature Double Wedding Ring quilt was stolen from a locked display case at the Canmore Hospital. There was no noticable damage to the display case. A police report was filed.
The quilt was made by Isabella Nelson in 2002. She used a commercial pattern from the book, "Small Scale Quiltmaking: Precision, Proportion, and Detail" by Sally Collins (C&T Publishing, photo posted with permission). The quilt measures 8" by 9-1/2". It has an unbleached muslin background. The rings are made from a red printed and blue printed cotton. This quilt was hand appliqued and hand quilted. A label was hand appliqued to the lower left corner on the back. The label says, "Double Wedding Ring, 8"x9.5", Isabella Nelson, Canmore AB, 2002."
The quilt was mounted on navy blue mat board and framed in an UMBRA brand shadow-box frame. The frame is dark brown and measures 10" by 12". The frame can hang or stand alone.
Please contact Isabella through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page if you have seen this quilt.
